How the unscrambler works
Every word in the dictionary, from three to eleven letters, is checked against the tiles you entered. A word is kept only when your letters — plus any blanks — can actually build it, counting repeats properly, so you never see a word you cannot really play. Results are grouped by length with the longest at the top, because length is where the big scores come from.
Scrabble and Words With Friends scores
Each result carries a point value for the tile set you pick above. Scrabble and Words With Friends give letters different values — a J is worth 8 in Scrabble but 10 in Words With Friends, for instance — so switching the tile set re-scores and re-sorts the whole list. Blank tiles are counted as zero, exactly as they play.
